Here is an email sent to participants of NDSU's James Rosenquist Artist in Residency, Michael Namkung. He is in Fargo for a couple more weeks. An amazing artist to have around. Check out hiswebsite - www.michaelnamkung.com

This is a special invitation to Drawing Gym Participants. The first of two Drawing Gym exhibitions goes up this week in the Renaissance Hall Gallery on the first floor. On display will be your medicine ball drawings and a sound installation. The opening reception is from 4:30 to 6:00 this Thursday, April 8th. Also, at the end of this exhibition, I am offering your medicine ball drawing(s) to you as a gift. Please come by on April 22 (last day of the show) to pick yours up! (Or make arrangements with me to pick it up at a later time.) I would love to see you there on Thursday! If you can't make the reception, the show runs from April 8 - 22 in the Renaissance Hall Gallery. Stay tuned for more events...
One thing to take into consideration for the crazy amount of personal business cards present at NCECA is that the only ones I really mean something to me are the one's that were given to me from people who made an impression. There were tables next to tables that were smothered in calls for attention. It's one way to do it. I did it myself. I just want to take a moment to appreciate the people that I met. All of the names listed below are the names of some real genuine individuals who I recommend checking out if you have the time.

To name some of the more personable people I met at NCECA:

The Beginning Process

As I orientate myself to blogging by finicking around with the settings and options, I hope that you will join me in the very near future as I will be sending out reports on my experiments with various materials and observations.

What my goal is with this blog is to track my investigations with various art mediums and allow anyone interested in contributing ideas and experiments to be a part this sharing process.
